Three subsystems work together in a frontal collision to dramatically reduce the risk of fatality or severe injury: 

• When the 4Front sensor detects a frontal crash, it sends a signal to inflate two airbags.   
• The steering wheel airbag inflates to cushion the head of the driver
• The optional knee bolster airbag inflates simultaneously to cushion the impact of the front passenger’s knees with the bolster panel.
